Big Tril Announces First-Ever Concert at Kampala Serena Hotel
Ugandan rapper Big Tril has announced plans to hold his first-ever concert at the prestigious Kampala Serena Hotel.
Drawing inspiration from Navio’s successful Orchestra Concert held at the same venue, Big Tril says it’s time for Hip Hop artists to consistently take up space on stages often dominated by other genres.
“You don’t just do a concert. I’m planning to release new music first, then host a concert at Serena,” Big Tril revealed.
He dismissed the notion that Hip Hop doesn’t sell in Uganda, pointing to the sold-out shows by Mun G and Navio as proof that the genre continues to thrive.
“Many people said Hip Hop doesn’t sell, but Mun G and Navio both sold out Serena. So, I’m next,” he said confidently.
The Parte After Parte hitmaker expressed his excitement about giving Ugandans another reason to celebrate Hip Hop next year, emphasizing that the Serena is his ideal venue.
“I love Serena because even if it rains, people are inside and safe. It’s a classy venue with great soundproofing, so everyone gets to enjoy the music.”
